It does look like it might have pixilated a bit, but it looks fine anyway.
I'm impressed anyway.

I have a shiny new animated avatar. :B I wish I had the patience to clean it up & color it..but meh. The actual file is way too big to post here, but from what you can see on the 100x50 pixel version of it, any suggestions on wing movement?

It looks to my eye, that his his wings sweep foward on the downstroke, and backward on the upstroke.
Isn't that backwards?

Yeah... I really don't like how pixilated it looks in areas... like the top of the bud, in particular... and those tiny sparkly things don't look very well accustomed to that size... there were other ones that were a darker shade and made it look more... well, subtle. Also, you can't see the detail on the thorns. I made them tipped sorta reddish-brown... Ah well. What does it matter that it looks better in Paint, I guess. It's here now.
Heh... The first down-swoop of the wings makes them look too frail, and kinda limp... then its somewhat odd and sharp in a sort of unnatural way... at the shoulders and the curve of the wing... But that last may be from the resizing.

Yeah..it's the re-sizing. Being the species of dragon he is, he doesn't actually have bones in his wings. So that might be why they look "frail".
I really need to do a lot more studying on wing movements, but meh. I had no internet at the time I did this, thus no easy accsess to bird videos.

Heh. ;D
Um... no bones?.. That explains some things. How does that work/what kind of dragon is it?

It's material similar the that of cartilage, but slightly more flexible. Argon is a Reptian dragon. (It's a planet I made up when I was like...8. The name stuck..so don't ask. D< ) His mother was a mortal dragon, and his father is a Spirit dragon. Both of very high ranks.

Eh. Why not? Seriously, though; must something always damage everything I make? Look at how pixilated and blotchy the little monster lookes! O.o It appears fine in Windows Paint; smoother, better color and proper shading... but when I transfer it to Photobucket? No.I mean... just looking at how blotchy the nose on that thing is makes me flinch a little. Why would it do that, anyway? Would you guess that it's my computer or Photobucket? But, yeah, after ranting about that, for a bit... I figured, well, nobody put anything in here, for a while, and I needed an avatar, anyway. Not that the whole, "This image has been moved or deleted - Photobucket." wasn't great or anything.

You do seem to have things get moved around a lot by Photobucket...

.jpeg format tends to do that.
'Tis why I prefer to save files, espcecially scanned ones, as .png.

Yup, png and bmp are lossless, and don't get as pixelated.
Note that Photobucket and most similar sites tend to compress files more than they already are, which tends to be a lossy process. I don't think the effect would be as big on png and bmp, though.

Hm...
See, I have no idea as to how any of these things work. XP How do you guys figure that stuff out, anyway? O.o

I work with the stuff regularly, so I've made a point of looking it up.
Also, this stuff gets discussed on the Xepher.Net forums pretty frequently (as well as most any major webcomic's forum), so I've seen several different people's opinions.

.PNG takes a heck of a lot longer to load, but it's easier for me, if I want to go back and edit something. You don't have those annoying, grainy pixels. >.<
.... I finally changed mine. D: I think that Raptor/Sage one was the longest I've ever kept one....heh.
