I prefer to use less common words, simply because I enjoy them.
I just wish I could find a suitable use for "defenestrate."

*Laugh!!!* I'd have to know less common words to use them. Actually, I just used piquant... But that's actually not that uncommom. ('Bout as uncommom as poignant...) After I looked up the word: *Laugh!!!* ! ! ! Well... you could make a suggestion to defenestration next time somebody's angry at someone/something. ;D Right?

Defenestrate is an awesome word, but I, too, haven't really found a good use for it in common language. I have occasionally threatened to defenestrate someone online, but for obvious reasons, it hasn't happened.

I think that is now among my favorite words, actually. Why did I not hear about this before!?! They've been teaching us simple vocabulary at school, and they could be teaching us how to use words like defenestrate!
Do ya'll have favorite words?

I do!
It is "sploot". Which..really isn't a real word..just used in comics. XD As far as real words go..probably "poof" or "garrulous". I guess I just like garrulous 'cause..that's pretty much what I do all the time. XD

For food effects.
I spent 40 minutes going through my Garfield books looking for that one..but of all the ones I have, it had to be in the one I can't find. T_T

"Splut" is more common in Garfield, though, what with "Splut Week" and all.

Yeah. "Splut" & "splot". Nothing beats "sploot", though. ^_^

Heh... My friends and I used to use, "Splugget!" in elementary, when we helped the lunch lady serve meals. ;D One of my friends just said, one day, "Would you like sound effects with your food?" She started it... ;D Do all elementary schools do that? (Let kids help serve lunch, that is.)

I wouldn't know. I've homeschooled since third grade, and the schools I went to before that didn't really have cafeterias.

"Wark" "hrrrsk" "eep" "defenestrate" and "mrow?"
By the way, I found an excellent use for Defenestrate. It needs to be the past tense, but...
A revolution an unpopular monarch defenestrated
------- behold, a haiku.

*Laugh!!!* So now people are making haikus... ;D I think it'd be neat to be homeschooled... Did ya'll that were home schooled here (if anyone else here was and are not bothered by talking about it) like it?

I like the word haiku, too. XD
Oh, I love homeschool. I go at my own pace, no homework, I get to sleep later, and best of all..I don't think I've been sick since I started it, unless my cousin brought it home.
