Only at night, mostly. There are exceptions, though. (No, I won't elaborate)
And they're visible pretty much everywhere.

Oh - neat. ;D
How long were you thinking out PE and Beasting before you out them up on the Internet?

Beastling I started sketching about a week before I started drawing them, though a lot of the plot was around before that. After that, there were a couple years before I started uploading the comics themselves.
For PE, a lot of the characters and plot have been around since before I started Beastling, but I thought Beastling would be a lot better of a comic/story to start with, since it's a lot less confusing.
PE has all manner of twists and turns, and I want to do it right from the start, which is why it's not officially starting yet. (or anytime soon, with my update schedule so far) Sheesh, some of PE actually came about back in homeschool (before Jr. High), so a lot of it has been around for quite some time. (Most of the characters have been rebuilt time and again, but their personalities are mostly the same)
I find it funny that one of the longest-standing characters still has no name...not that you'll ever know who that is.

*Laugh!!!* What gave you the idea for Beastling and Pending Else, to start with? Confusing can be fun... ;D You're just saying that to tease me!!! And it's working!!! ... ...never-ever?

Nope. Never-ever. I'm evil like that.
Actually, you'll learn his name eventually, just not that he was the first.
The ideas? Hmm...I don't know, really.

Not even when it's all over?
Are there any trees in that area?

Trees in what area?

That field under the dark space sky. You must think I'm very strange - asking a bunch of questions that don't have any apparent importance.

Nah, questions are good.
There are trees, just not where we're looking.

Good, I'm not a complete pan. Err... I meant pain.... Did you use glow on the black and white version of your first Extras image, and then not on the other one? I think you must have done something like that, 'cuz there's a definite difference...

I used glow on them both...though I may have used it to different levels...

What do you do when you think up a character? (This is sort of generalized to Beastling and PE.)
Do you draw them out immediately and make any changes later, or play with the image in your mind first? Or, do you just draw something and put it into the story if you think it's good enough to play a certain part?

Well, that would depend a lot on what character, role, or whatever. Sometimes, the appearance comes first, and then I realize what role they'd fit in as best. Sometimes, the concept comes first.
I'll use 2 different characters for examples. For Beastling, I was sitting in school, drawing (of course) and I sketched a cutesy little puppy, and then gave him wings. That's where Beastling came from originally. He fit into the worlds I was "building" perfectly, and this comic was born.
For another character, I'll use one you aren't familiar with (though some here may be): Phairon. (Phairon may eventually show up in PE, though that's a big "May" in this case.) Phairon's concept came before he did. He's based very heavily on an ancient god of war and fire by the same name. (Yeah, he came about while I was studying random religions). Accordingly, his story and idea came before the way he actually looks.
Do you see, now?

Don't you mean "Mmm-hmm"?
Vapyr is standing in a dungeon.
