Don La Fontaine died. Tuesday. The joke everybody is making is, "In a world with no Don La Fontaine." Shamus Young collected a couple of retrospectives that recapp his carreer here: www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=1857Wow, man. It's like half the western voice acting industry just died. Even his competitors are mourning him, in these videos. This was the man who created the modern movie trailer, and the man who did the lines for most of them. Some part of my brain is trying to process the idea of watching the trailers at the begining of a movie and not hearing the familiar strains of La Fontaine, and his famous catch phrases. He was in over 5000 trailers, just as a voice. That's practiaclly, every AAA class movie to come out in the last 25 years.

I heard about that. :< For some reason I couldn't quite process it last night and just kind went.."Oh. Okay, then." Now that my head's a little more clear, I can officially say "that sucks." :C
